The Mako Bullet Catcher (BUC) is an ideal product for Law Enforcement and Military Training exercises. It is perfectly complimentary to the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES 2000)* used extensively by the US military for ground combat training.
The Mako BUC easily attaches to the end of the barrel of an M16/AR15 carbine rifle. It functions as both a Blank Firing Adapter and Bullet Blocking Safety Device. In the event that live rounds are inadvertently loaded into the rifle and fired, the BUC will stop any potentially lethal bullets at the muzzle. After the first round is fired, whether from a semi-automatic or fully automatic weapon, increased pressure causes a failure to extract. This effectively halts operation or further cycling of the weapon until remedial action is taken, thus preventing the chambering of a second live round.
